Like the title suggests, when I try to run the make.shared command, an error pops up in mothur saying "unable to open (name of list file) "
I am in the correct folder. In fact, I see the actual list file located within the folder I am working in. I did notice that when I created the file using the cluster command the file name (within the folder I was working in) was missing the extension .list. I tried changing the name of the list file afterwards and I’m not sure if that is the problem.
I’d appreciate any help and advice. I’ll be happy to provide any additional information to help elucidate the problem.
