Pre.cluster Killed

mothur > pre.cluster(fasta=anita2.trim.contigs.good.unique.good.filter.unique.fasta, count=anita2.trim.contigs.good.unique.good.filter.count_table, diffs=2, processors=8)

Using 8 processors.
Killed

I have tried 20 cores and 40 cores and it keeps being killed, running on mothur 1.41.3 and 1.40.5, the files are large fasta is 18.9 GB and the count-table is 5.2 GB, but this worked before - any suggestions?

ps it last worked for the same dataset using mothur v.1.39.5 with 20 cores on a server with 240Gb mem and now it is not

I’ve had lots of issues with 1.40 and 1.41 so have been using 1.39.5 which is still working for me. I’m not sure why 1.40 and 1.41 aren’t working but I don’t need any of the more recent features, so haven’t spent much time trying to troubleshoot.

I have requested the server people to install 1.43, so looking forward to trying that.
