Rarefaction.single() crash mothur 1.24

Hello everybody,

Recently I upgraded my mothur version from 1.23 to 1.24. Ever since I am experiencing a problem when using rarefaction.single() on my final.shared file, whereas this was not the case in mothur 1.23. The error that I am getting is the following:
[ERROR]: Could not open final.an.0.03.subsample.MID10.Bac_530f.rarefaction_MID10.Bac

Has anyone experienced this issue already? Does anyone know how to fix it?

Thanks for reporting this issue. Group names that include “_” are causing a parsing error in the creation of the groups.rarefaction file. This will be fixed in the next release, but in the meantime you can run the command with groupmode=false.
