Pre.cluster unoise/deblur

Hello all –

Thanks for incorporating unoise and deblur into the pre.cluster command. The original unoise algorithm also removes chimeras; is this also the case in the mothur implementation? Also, can we assume that the new methods effectively denoise the reads, and therefore they should be combined with diffs=0?

Ah, no it does not do chimera checking for unoise or deblur. I’ve updated the wiki. The diffs option is not used with these methods.
