As I started to know more about mothur I started asking my self the question … is there anything mothur cannot do?
This is quite possibly the most impressive biological software package that I have ever seen! It has a uniquely expansive yet logical and coherent feature set that just works right away.
I am currently setting up a mothur based data analysis pipeline at Penn State that would streamline the processing of all metagenomics related data that passes through the sequencing facility. I will keep people posted on how it goes. Best regards,
