Trim.seqs works in 1.39.5 fails in higher versions

Hi, any idea why a simple make.contigs followed by a trim.seqs that works in version 1.39.5 fails in higher versions?

[ERROR]: In sequence M05510_4_000000000-BK9KM_1_2111_13408_9657’s quality scores, expected a number and got >M05510_4_000000000-BK9KM_1_1101_4219_17302, setting score to 0.

Could you post the commands you ran, so I can try to reproduce the issue?
