Sffinfo Command and Website Istructions

Hi All,

I was perusing the Mothur page of the Sffinfo command. The command worked successfully, but I have a question about the sequences in the generated FASTA files. Are these sequences trimmed of the primers and/or bar codes? The last line under the ‘Default Settings’ heading says: By default these are the trimmed. Is is supposed to say sequences?

The sequences are trimmed to the clipQualLeft and clipQualRight positions. If you select sfftxt=T, you will see the values for these for each sequence in the sff.txt file.
