I think a really handy feature would be to have a ‘saved state’ for Mothur. For instance, when using batch files the ability to push the current information (such as fasta, group file, etc) to a save file (or the like) and then use the set.current() method with a ‘file=’ option to restore a previous state would save hardcoded file names from having to be used after ‘context switches’ like removing the mock community or the pcr.seqs() which change the current fasta.
