mothurout class mothurconvert error

Hi Sarah

I have 2 people who have windows 10 running ubuntu 16.04 through vmware. They installed mothur from debane (I couldn’t get the executable to install correctly on their machines but could on a host computer that’s running windows 7). We’re trying to work with the silva alignment, the windows 10 host are getting this error

They are unable to do anything with the aligned files including summary.seqs or pcr.seqs

Thanks for reporting this bug. When we added the option to seed random in version 1.36, we did not account for “seed” being part of a filename. We have fixed this issue and the change was part of version 1.37.
