Hello Patrick and mothur community, I have searched near and far for an explanation of the greengenes mapping tables. I’m assuming the 99, 97 etc indicate the “label”, ie, the cutoff for making OTUs. What I can’t figure out is the meaning of the columns and rows. I suspect it could be similar to a name file, where the number in the first column is the representative OTU and the numbers on the same row are according to greengenes identical OTUs?

I think the first column is the OTU number and the column that follow are the ids of the sequences that belong to that OTU
