LoTuS integration and use

Hi,

Just wondering what the general opinion on LoTuS (Hildebrand et al. 2014, Microbiome) was and how easily it could be used with MOTHUR?

It relies on UPARSE which I know isn’t that popular with a lot of people round here so I’d be interested in whether people think it would be a good idea to try it?

Well they didn’t exactly do any benchmarking, so… I’m not super inclined to include it until we know whether it’s any better or worse than our current methods.
