Is miseq a good choice for metagenomics using mothur?

Hi

I have used mothur on 454, and have seen that miseq data is in beta testing. The reason I ask, is that our lab plan to buy one, and I wonder if mothur in the future will have similar SOPs as 454 data? I really hope so, because it looks like miseq has better data quality.

Well we bought a MiSeq and hope to release an SOP in the next month or so.
