I am having trouble reproducing an analysis that I did with an older version of mothur, and think the step that is changing things may be the chimera detection. Do you have a record of the changes that have been made to the Pintail method of chimera detection in mothur? Has the algorithm been changed at any point during the development of mothur?

We don’t have specific notes about changes made to the chimera.pintail command. The command has not been altered too much since we first released it. We did make a change to what we call an outlier in early 2010, that could impact results.
