Sparcc options

Could you update the Sparcc wiki page http://www.mothur.org/wiki/Sparcc with every option descriptions?

And it seems that the default method is relabund as the output is named accordingly.

Resulting correlation matrix has values for every OTU pair but in their paper they describe an iterative procedure for sorting out only strong correlations. Can this procedure be implemented in mothur?

  1. We’ll get it up soon.

  2. No the default method is not relabund - it is dirichlet. The output relabund file is the average relative abundance for that OTU across all of the samples.

  3. We’re doing exactly what they python does. The iterative procedure essentially changes the weighting. If you look at their figures/text you’ll see that they only present the strongest correlation values.
