Set Frequency as a percentage

rarefaction - frequency option

Hi I was wondering if mothur could use fractions in the rarefaction’s frequency option. Example: Sample A has 120,000 OTUs. Sample B has 87,000 OTUs. rarefaction.single(freq=1/100) would result using a frequency of 1% the total OTUs on each rarefaction curve (the same as freq=1200 for sample A, and freq=870 for sample B). Frequency input could be freq=1/100 or freq=1% or any fraction desired. This could be useful if you have very different number of sequences or OTUs in each sample, but stil…
