output of summary command

Hi Everyone,
I am using mothur first time and i am not able to understand the output of summary command. It gives something like this:
Start End NBases Ambigs Polymer NumSeqs
Minimum: 1 9 2 0 2 1
2.5%-tile: 4655 6519 134 0 3 194
25%-tile: 4660 6526 151 0 4 1933
Median: 4660 6526 151 0 4 3865
75%-tile: 4660 6526 151 0 5 5797
97.5%-tile: 4687 6541 151 0 6 7535
Maximum: 14546 14569 151 0 9 7728
Mean: 4705.11 6534.2 149.064 0 4.38315

of Seqs: 7728

I will be thankful if anyone could explain me what does each column means. The start and end is the start and end of template is what I am guessing.

Start/ End - start and end coordinates of your alignment
NBases - length of sequences
Ambigs - number of anbiguous bases per sequence (should be 0)
Polymer - length of the longest homopolymer in each sequence

The rows indicate the percentile of sequences that meet each criteria. For example, 25% of your sequences start before position 4660 and 75% of your sequences are less than 151 bp long.

Hope this helps,
Pat

Thanks Pat,
I was not able to figure out start and end. But now it is clear.

Thanks!!!
