cluster.split

I was wondering why when I do option 2 (cluster.split) command, I am getting more files than my original 31 I put in…

I am getting outputs:

final.fasta.0.dist

through

final.fasta.53.dist

I would have assumed the file names would be “final.fasta.1.dist” up through “final.fasta.31.dist”

Any ideas?

31 whats? The 1 to 53 corresponds to the number of parts the data were split into different taxa.
