In the past, I’ve always just use the bellerophon server to run my chimera check. It worked well because it identifies putative chimera and lists them for you. In mothur, if I use chimera.bellerophon, it gives information for each sequence tested. Can somebody try to explain what the score means and how to identify chimera based on the score. In a nutshell, I’m curious as to what score constitutes a potential chimera.
