User annotation line in all files

It would be “killer” if we could add user annotations to any mothur file. For example, just have mothur ignore all lines starting with “#”.

That way, we can annotate individual files however we wish. For exampe, I’d like to document my list files with somthing like:

jaf 12.24.09 list file created from disambiguated, ultraclean, foobar dataset.

remember to make summary files

Then as step 2 it would be great if mothur automatically annotated any file it created with a timestamp and the mothur command that created that file.
