Is there a way to replace the names of sequences in a fasta (and list, name) files with a custom tag. For example, When I classify my sequences, I can download classifcaton file and create a taxonomic tag for each sequence. If I am able to generate a tab delimited file (original sequence name: column1; taxonomic tag: colum2) would it be possible to use this to rename the fasta file with those taxonomic tags?
