get.oturep without dist file

Hello all,

I have clustered my sequences without using a distance-based approach, creating my own “list” file instead. I would like to obtain a representative sequence for each OTU making use of the options offered by get.oturep. Would this be possible, either within the command or outside of it, WITHOUT having to depend on a “dist” file?

Many thanks.
Pedro.

No. You’d have to do it on your own.
