Add you feature for subsample.seqs command

Dear Patrick,

I am always using Mother with great joy since the introduction of Dothur.
I would like to suggest to add the following extra feature to the subsample.seq command.
I usually supsample to somewhat around 50,000 reads per samples and afterwards I add any other samples back between 10,000 and 50,000 reads per samples. This always involves some additional steps.
So, it would be fantastic if you could add a parameter to the subsample command which allows to subsample to a range of numbers. Example I would like 50,000 reads per sample and also leave all other samples in, which as a user defined smaller number e.g., 10,000 reads. That would be really cool. Thank you, Josef

Hi Josef,

Thanks for your post. I’d suggest running summary.single twice at multiple read depths and changing the output file name after each run.
