Square root, power, log10 etc. - transformations of shared-file

Hi,

Is there any command in mothur that could make squareroot-, log-, power etc. - transformations to the .shared - file?

It could be handy e.g. if one would want to decrease the effect of very abundant OTUs on beta-diversity indices.

Of course, it is possible to make the transformations in Excel but still…

No we don’t. I actually am not a big fan of these types of transformations and would encourage you to instead pick different beta diversity metrics that focus on different parts of the distribution.
