Help regarding SOP454

Hi,

I have just begun using mothur through the SOP454 on wiki. I got the following error message while using the trim.flow command. I have followed the steps given there regarding unzipping of folders and transferring their contents to SchlossSOP folder… :shock: :shock:

“Unable to open GQY1XY001.flow”

“did not complete trim.flows”

Please Help…

This is a common problem when people run mothur from a different folder than where the data are located. For people just getting started, I suggest putting the mothur executable in the same folder as your data. Then use the command line to navigate to that folder and launch mothur.
